Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Write a recipe to a publishable standard.
- Test a recipe for publication.
- Identify and understand the different styles of recipe writing.
- Understand the style, format and tone of voice most appropriate for your subject matter and audience.
- Explore and assess which publishing format is best for your project(s).
In this course, you will learn how to identify and understand the different styles of cookbooks on the market; learn how to write and test recipes ready for publication; and explore how and where to get your recipes or cookbook published.
Who is this course for?
This course will appeal to starting or second career professionals with diverse backgrounds. Passionate food historians with a collection of recipes, chefs, cooks, or home economists with original recipes. You may be a food and wine marketer, or you may have a pile of treasured family recipes tucked in the bottom drawer and want to publish them for posterity.

Carli Ratclif is an award-winning food and travel writer and alumni of Le Cordon Bleu. Carli spent many years as an editorial writer for magazines and newspapers including The Sydney
Morning Herald, The Age (Melbourne), The Australian Financial Review, Vogue Living, Monocle (UK) and BBC Good Food magazine. Carli began writing and producing food, wine and tourism
content a decade ago. Carli has created print, digital, television and video content for brands and organisations including: Miele, Tourism Australia, Singapore Tourism Bureau, Atout France, Visit
Sweden, Qantas Airways, Emirates, China Eastern Airlines, the Australian Meat & Livestock Corporation and Essteele Cookware.
Entrepreneurial pursuits such as self-publishing, food publishing, food and wine content writing and or marketing, food writing for newspapers, magazines, online, blogs, freelance, recipe testing.
